Sweetgreen is one of the rising fast casual restaurants that focuses on healthy and sustainable food. They serve “Fresh, plant-forward, earth friendly food.” such as protein plates and bowls, as well as salads.
It was built in 2007 by three college students who were simply looking for a healthier way to eat. Seeing that their only options were slow, expensive, and fresh—or fast, cheap, and unhealthy, they came up with a solution where quality was never sacrificed for convenience.
However they are not going to offer franchising in the foreseeable future.
